Week 93
Had my first Thanks Giving dinner this week at Gorilla Brewing with some friends. I was really looking forward to having some Christmas-like food again: mash, gravy, turkey, stuffing and green beans! The absolute works! Before the meal we all went around and gave thanks for things which was nice, I enjoyed the traditional. The food was so good, I couldn't believe how delcious the mashed potato was! Then for desert we had pumpkin pie, I've never had it before but my god it was so yummy! It was a really good time with friends, I'll try and do it again next year.
Just had a really nice relaxing weekend this week. Saturday morning I got some more sleep than usual because I only had a 14 mile easy run to complete because it's winter and I don't have to wake up early to beat the heat.
At around midday me and Linda went to that brunch I wrote about last week Onewaybread. I had a cheese toastie and Linda had a English Breakfast (Korean style). The toastie was good but I wouldn't get the breakfast again just because it really isn't an English breakfast. I'd like to try the French toast next time it looked good. The coffee was good and whatever we had left we took down to the beach afterwards.
The sun was out so with our coats on it was actually quite hot. We waited around for the chance to sit on the beach benches. We stayed there in the sun reading for an hour or so, it was so nice. This winter I want to get down to the beach a lot to do this because it is so relaxing.
For dinner that night I cooked bangers and mash with some baked beans. The sausage were alright like a 6/10, I'd eat them again but they weren't like good English sausages. Mash and heinz beans were solid though.
On Sunday, me and Alex after quite a while went for a gaming session in the morning. Followed my cold swim, it's getting colder! For the rest of Sunday I just spent it by myself doing absolutely nothing at home. In the evening I cooked the rest of the potatoes with a steak and watched a film by myself. Lovely!
